I was honoured to have my business at 411/415 Powell Street being a part of your open doors project. This year the building’s legacy has past through another generation as it will continue until the next. Many financial offers have come my way to demolish the site but I feel it is my duty to pass this beautiful building on to my family. Many shopkeepers I know have left the area due to its decline. I respect the area and community for its cultural heritage and I will stay through the difficult times. The information panel brought a tear to my eye as I read the historical archives of the building. I am proud that the Japanese festival has returned to Oppenhiemer Park for 2010, congratulations.
Thank you,
Guy Kehler
